Who I Work With

I primarily work with adults who are navigating periods of stress, uncertainty, transition, or personal growth—including times of both challenge and possibility.

Many of my clients are professionals, entrepreneurs, academics, graduate and doctoral students, artists and other creative professionals, intellectually curious individuals, and those seeking greater self-understanding and a more fulfilling life.

I meet with and welcome clients from all backgrounds and strive to create an environment that is respectful, confidential, and inclusive.

Psychotherapy & Consultation

I offer two distinct forms of psychological support, depending on your needs– both grounded in thoughtful psychological work that is relevant to real life.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy provides a confidential space to address concerns, better understand yourself and your relationships, navigate transitions, and create meaningful change. Therapy may include developing tools for managing stress or anxiety, exploring longstanding patterns, working through loss or transition, and deepening your relationship with yourself.

Consultation

Consultation offers a focused, collaborative opportunity to draw on psychological expertise in a confidential space around a specific question, challenge, or situation. It can provide perspective, help you consider different ways of understanding a situation, and support you in identifying a way forward.

A Space for Reflection and Change

You do not need to have a specific diagnosis or clearly defined problem to benefit from psychotherapy or consultation.

People seek psychotherapy and consultation for many different reasons. Sometimes, the desire for greater self-understanding or a different way of living is reason enough to begin. Whatever brings you here, I offer a space to slow down, reflect, and develop a greater sense of clarity and possibility.

Areas of Focus

Common reasons to begin psychotherapy or seek consultation may include:

Anxiety, Stress & Panic

Depression & Mood Concerns

ADHD & Executive Functioning

Relationships & Interpersonal Concerns

Life Transitions, Loss & Grief

Career, Creativity & Professional Concerns

Health & Mind-Body Concerns

Addiction & Recovery

Personal Growth, Resilience, Mindfulness & Well-Being

My Approach

Psychological Depth, Practical Usefulness

My aim is to bring together psychological depth and practical usefulness in a way that is meaningful to you.

Rather than applying one approach to everyone, I tailor our work to your individual needs, circumstances, and goals.

Getting Started

Finding the right psychologist is a personal decision.

I offer a complimentary 15–20 minute initial consultation by phone or video to briefly discuss what has prompted you to reach out, answer your questions, and determine whether working together may be a good fit. This initial conversation is the first step for either psychotherapy or consultation.

In-Person & Telehealth Services

My office is located in Orinda, California, conveniently serving clients throughout Lamorinda and the greater San Francisco Bay Area; secure telehealth appointments are available throughout California.

I welcome the opportunity to speak with you.
