My fees are comparable to those of other Licensed Clinical Psychologists in the San Francisco Bay Area. I work with clients who pay privately as well as clients who use insurance benefits.
Private Pay
Many clients choose to pay for therapy privately, or out of pocket, rather than use insurance. Private pay allows you to receive therapy without involving your insurance company in the treatment process.
If you choose to pay privately, I will provide information about my fees and payment schedule before we begin working together.
Insurance
I am an in-network provider for Aetna, Medicare, and UC Berkeley Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP). If you have one of these plans, I will bill your insurance directly, and you will be responsible for any applicable copayment, coinsurance, or deductible based on your individual plan.
If you have a different insurance plan from those listed above and would like to use your insurance, you may have out-of-network benefits for mental health services. I recommend contacting your insurance company directly to ask about your coverage for out-of-network psychotherapy, including your deductible, reimbursement rate, and any limits or requirements that may apply.
If you have out-of-network benefits, you pay me directly for each session and then I will provide you with the statement you need to submit a claim to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Because insurance benefits vary considerably by plan, I encourage you to confirm your coverage directly with your insurance company before beginning therapy.
Fees and Accessibility
A limited number of reduced-fee appointments may be available depending on current availability and individual circumstances. If cost is a consideration in beginning therapy, I welcome the opportunity to discuss what may be possible.
