Considering therapy and contemplating making changes to your life can take courage. Finding a therapist that is a good match for you can be essential as you take your next steps. I am glad to talk with you about meeting and starting therapy, and also glad to advise you of other treatment options or providers that may best meet your needs at this time.
In every therapeutic relationship, I will aim to create an open and respectful environment and will consider your confidentiality and privacy to be a priority. You will find that I am compassionate, supportive and collaborative, yet also offer direct feedback and insights at times that may challenge your perspective. Overall, I value diversity and welcome clients of all ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds, who may identify with traditional or non-traditional gender identities and/or sexual orientations.
During therapy, I will use various psychological approaches to support your health and wellness. Some approaches I may draw from are Psychodynamic Therapy, Contemporary Psychoanalytic Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapies, Neuropsychoanalysis and Expressive Arts Therapies. I am glad to answer any questions you may have about techniques used in the course of therapy, and you also have the right to ask about other treatments and to inquire about their risks and benefits. Throughout the course of therapy, your feedback about your experience is always encouraged and I will aim to help you work toward your personal goals at a pace that feels comfortable to you.
